All content on this website — including text, graphics, photographs, project images, logos, drawings, product specifications, and the underlying code — is the property of Katena Railings or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
"Katena", "Katena Railings", and the Katena logo are trademarks of Katena Railings. Product names such as KTM, KFM, KWM, KBP, and KP identify our proprietary railing systems.
You may:
- View, download, and print pages from the website for your personal, non-commercial use, or to evaluate our products for a legitimate project.
- Share links to publicly available pages of our website.
You may not:
- Reproduce, republish, resell, or exploit any content from this site for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

5. Information You Submit
When you submit information through our quote form, contact form, career application, or by email — including drawings, specifications, project details, and correspondence — you grant Katena Railings a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that information as reasonably necessary to prepare a quote, deliver a project, respond to your inquiry, and maintain our records.
You represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal right to submit the information and to grant us the licence described above.
- The information you submit is accurate, complete, and does not infringe on any third party's rights.
- You will not submit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate.
We handle information you submit in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Quotes & Proposals
Any quote, estimate, or proposal we provide is an invitation to enter into a contract, not a binding offer. Quotes are subject to:
- Verification of measurements, site conditions, and structural drawings.
- Availability of materials and manufacturing capacity at the time of order.
- Any conditions, exclusions, and assumptions stated on the quote itself.
- Applicable taxes, delivery, and installation costs, unless otherwise specified.
Unless a shorter or longer period is stated on the quote, our quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After that period, we reserve the right to re-price based on current material costs and scheduling.
A quote does not create any obligation to sell or deliver until a written purchase order or contract has been signed by both parties.
7. Orders, Contracts & Payment
A binding contract is formed only when a signed purchase order, contract, or subcontract agreement is executed by both parties. The terms of that signed document — including payment terms, deliverables, timelines, and change-order procedures — will govern the project.
Where the signed contract is silent, the following default terms apply:
- Deposits: a non-refundable deposit of 30% is due before engineering begins, with progress payments as manufacturing and installation milestones are reached.
- Payment terms: Net 30 days from invoice date.
- Late payments: may accrue interest at the rate permitted by Quebec law.
- Change orders: any modification to the scope must be authorized in writing before we proceed; additional cost and schedule impact will be quoted separately.
- Cancellations: once engineering or manufacturing has commenced, cancellation charges will apply based on the work completed and materials committed.
8. Products & Services
We take reasonable care in describing our products and services on this website. However, product specifications, finishes, and photographs are for illustration only and may vary from the actual product delivered. Final specifications will be documented in the shop drawings and contract issued for your project.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any product, finish, or service at any time without notice. Where a change affects a signed contract, we will notify you and offer a reasonable alternative.
9. Product Warranty
Katena Railings provides a written product warranty with every project. The specific warranty terms — including duration, covered defects, exclusions, and remedies — are contained in the warranty document issued at project completion.
Except as expressly set out in the written warranty document, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Katena Railings makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to any product or service, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Warranty coverage may be voided by improper installation performed by third parties, modification of the product, use outside the specified environmental conditions, or failure to follow reasonable cleaning and maintenance guidelines.
10. Website Disclaimers
This website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Katena Railings disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

Information on this website is intended for general reference. It does not constitute engineering, legal, or professional advice, and it should not be used as a substitute for a signed, stamped shop drawing prepared for a specific project.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Katena Railings and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of use, or loss of data, arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of, or inability to use, this website.
- Any content obtained from or through the website.
- Any errors or omissions in any content on the website.
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your submissions.
For any liability arising in connection with your engagement of our products or services, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to us under the specific contract giving rise to the claim, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Katena Railings and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your submission of information that infringes on any third party's rights.
- Your misuse of the website or of any content obtained from it.
- Any claims arising from your use of our products or services outside of a signed contract.

Accessing third-party websites is at your own risk, and you should review the terms and privacy policies of those websites.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the website, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. Termination of website access does not affect any rights or obligations arising under a signed project contract, which will be governed by its own terms.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
You agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the website, or our products and services shall be brought exclusively before the courts of the District of Montreal, Province of Quebec, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
The parties expressly agree that these Terms and all related documents shall be drawn up in English. Les parties conviennent expressément que les présentes conditions et tous les documents connexes soient rédigés en anglais.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
For active project contracts, the terms of the signed contract prevail over any changes to these website Terms.
17. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed contract, constitute the entire agreement between you and Katena Railings concerning your use of the website and our services.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
- No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
- Force majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, labour disputes, and government actions.
